Adding New CyberData Devices to 3CX

Adding New CyberData Devices to 3CX

This article details the process of how to load the attached template into 3CX to provision newer CyberData devices on 3CX. The process is slightly different for Linux based systems when compared to Windows. Please follow the correct steps based on your system.

Windows

Go to folder

- Windows: C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Http\Templates\phones\

Drop the new Template file in here.

After you have made the changes you want, Restart all 3CX Services from the admin login page.

On the Services page click on all services and then press restart.

Linux

- Linux: /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Templates/phones/

Drop the new Template file in here (for Linux don't forget to do "chown phonesystem:phonesystem).

After you have made the changes you want, Restart all 3CX Services from the admin login page.

On the Services page click on all services and then press restart.

After completing this process there should be new entries for CyberData devices when selecting a device to provision. New CyberData devices are noted with a Serial number appended to the end of the name.

For example:

CyberData Outdoor Intercom (s/n: 1862xxxxx)

CyberData Paging Server (s/m: 1462xxxxx)

CyberData Office Ringer (s/n: 2162xxxxx)

Please contact CyberData Technical Support if any issues arise after loading the new template.
