3CX Phone Apps and CyberData h.264 Video Products.
Video from CyberData h.264 video intercom products can not be viewed on the 3CX app for cellular telephones. In 2021 3CX's CEO, Nick Galea, explained why, saying that h.264 video can be streamed to the 3CX Web Client or to the 3CX Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browser extensions with no problem. But it can NOT be streamed to 3CX's cellular telephone app for either the iOS or Android operating systems.
The reason is that 3CX's Web Client, Google Chrome browser extension, and Microsoft Edge browser extension are licensed for h.264 but the iOS and Android telephone apps are not. This is because the licensing cost is prohibitive and would, with their number of extensions, push up the price of 3CX phone extension licenses by 20% to 30%.
