Using Nightringer on the Skyswitch Hosted PBX Platform.

SkySwitch can register your CyberData device’s Nightringer function as either a separate SIP device or as a "Secondary Device." The difference is that when Nightringer is registered as a Secondary Device the SIP credentials used are the same as those for the Primary SIP Server except that a "b" is tacked onto the end of the extension number.

The benefit to registering the Nightringer as a Secondary Device is that while, as in this example, extension 703 and extension 703b are treated as separate extensions by Skyswitch only a single extension license is used. See the example below using a CyberData SIP Speaker. This same method can be used on any CyberData device that has the Nightringer function.
