OEM Warranty Policy

The following OEM Limited Warranty Policy describes CyberData's standard limited warranty for OEM customers.

CyberData warrants its product against defects in material or workmanship for a period of two years from the ship date to the OEM customer.

CyberData makes the following limited warranties during the warranty period:

  1. the Products will function properly under normal use.
  2. the Products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship.
  3. the Products will conform to the agreed upon specifications.

Within Warranty
Should the product fail within warranty, CyberData will repair or replace the product free of charge. This warranty includes all parts and labor. Unless otherwise specified and agreed to, customer must follow RMA procedures RMA procedures to get an RMA # for return to repair or replace the Product. Please view our Warranty & RMA Return Policy below. Shipping charges for repaired or replaced products shipped to and from the customer by CyberData, will be paid by CyberData. Shipping method will be determined by CyberData. The decision to repair or replace a Product within warranty is at CyberData's discretion.

Warranty & RMA Returns within the United States and Canada
If service is required, you must contact CyberData Technical Support prior to returning any products to CyberData. To contact Technical Support, please login to our support site by going to:

support.cyberdata.net

You will be asked to provide your login name (your company name) and your password (previously provided to you by CyberData). You will then be able to access and fill out the OEM Support Form and submit to our Technical Support staff. Our Technical Support staff will contact you and then determine if your product should be returned to us for further inspection. If Technical Support determines that your product needs to be returned to CyberData, an RMA number will be issued to you at this point.
Your issued RMA number must be printed on the outside of the shipping box. No product will be accepted for return without an approved RMA number.

Out of Warranty
Should the product fail out-of-warranty, an hourly rate of $95.00 USD per hour will be assessed, with a minimum of one hour charged as a "cost to inspect". Non-warranty repair costs of $95.00 USD/hour are not to exceed ½ price of the purchase cost.

CyberData reserves the right, upon inspection, to determine reparability and refuse to repair, if the unit is deemed irreparable. CyberData will notify customer and customer will advise if a replacement is desired. Replacement of irreparable Products and shipping of Products are at full cost to customer.

Repairs that are within the warranty two-year period, but are damaged by improper modifications or abuse by the customer, will be charged at the out-of-warranty rate. Products shipped to CyberData out-of-warranty, are shipped at the expense of the customer.

This limited warranty extends only to the OEM customer and may not be assigned or transferred without CyberData's consent. The OEM customer must clearly state in its contracts or warranty statements for its end-users that any product warranty to its end-users is from the OEM customer and not from CyberData.

CyberData shall not under any circumstances be liable to any person for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages, including without limitation, damages resulting from use or malfunction of the products, loss of profits or revenues or costs of replacement goods, even if CyberData is informed in advance of the possibility of such damages.
