Point-To-Point Calls Using a Snom 3xx IP Phone and CyberData Device

In a SIP point-to-point configuration, a Snom 3XX series IP phone and CyberData device can place calls to each other on the same network without a SIP server.
CyberData Device Configuration
For your reference, instructions on point-to-point configuration are provided in the Operations Guide of every CyberData SIP-enabled device.
To configure point-to-point on a CyberData device, log into the web interface and follow these steps:
1. Disable 'Register with a SIP server' on the SIP configuration page
2. Enter the IP address of the Snom phone into the 'Dial Out Extension' field on the SIP configuration page for outbound dialing
3. Save and Reboot to store changes
Snom Phone Configuration
The Snom phones use a SIP port on default that is not monitored by the CyberData device and must be changed to port 5060.
To set the SIP port, log into the web interface and navigate to Setup > Advanced > SIP/RTP. On the SIP/RTP tab, set 'Network identity (port)' to 5060.
Dialing from a Snom Phone
To dial the CyberData device from a Snom phone, enter the IP address of the CyberData device using the phone's keypad. Use the * key for the decimals in the IP address.
For example, if the IP address of the CyberData device is 10.10.1.222, enter 10*10*1*222 into the keypad.
Or, you can create a Speed Dial number on the Snom phone to dial the IP address when the associated speed dial number is entered.
Snom 3xx phones tested using firmware versions 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168.
CyberData SIP Outdoor Intercom tested using firmware version 11.4.8. Any CyberData SIP-enabled device can be configured in the same manner for point-to-point calls.
